Join the Carolinas District of PMA on Thursday, May 15, 2008, for the Annual Golf Outing at Birkdale Golf Club.
Birkdale Golf Club has been named the finest premium public daily fee golf course designed by Arnold Palmer. The course is located on 200 acres of rolling terrain, carved between tall oaks, spruces, pines and natural streams. Birkdale proudly boasts its 7,043-yard, Par 72, Bermuda fairways and bent grass greens course as challenging and fun. This will be a truly memorable "19" holes, played in a four-man captain’s choice format.

Join the Carolinas District of the Precision Metalforming Association for its October event, a plant tour of FN Manufacturing. FN Manufacturing, LLC is a precision - machining manufacturer specializing in the production of small arms. Products include the families of M16 rifles, M249 light machine guns, M240 medium machine guns, and FNP pistols. The company’s products were developed for the military and law enforcement markets. FN Manufacturing provides weapons training as well as subcontract services for computer numerically controlled (CNC) and conventional machining, heat treating and surface finishing.

In addition, NC Commissioner of Labor Cherie Berry will be the guest speaker for the evening. Berry, a native of Catawba County, is the former business owner of LGM Ltd., a company that produces spark plug wires for the automotive industry. Commissioner Berry served in the N.C. House of Representatives from 1993 to 2000, representing the state's 45th district. Following this, she was sworn in as North Carolina's first female labor commissioner in 2001 and was elected to a second term in November 2004.

PMA/NTMA R&D Tax Credit Discussion

Join the Carolinas District of the Precision Metalforming Association as we join NTMA (National Tooling and Machining Association) for an evening of networking and discussion provided by the Black Line Group. Find out how other metal manufacturers are reducing their tax liabilities and improving cash flow, getting substantial amounts of cash back from the IRS (often $100,000 or more), and have activities that meet the very broad definition of R&D. This discussion applies in most cases to upper management of organizations.
Black Line Group is an independent firm that focuses exclusively on providing R&D tax credit expertise to small and mid-size businesses and has worked with numerous PMA members across the country.
